Hide or Unhide Listings
Sometimes you may not want your Roommates.com listings to be visible to others, but still want to keep your account and listings available for later. In that case, you can Hide your listings instead of deleting or deactivating them.
Hiding your listings removes them from public view, but keeps them saved on your Dashboard so you can make them visible again at any time.
It's important to note that, unlike Deactivating Your Account, hiding your listings does not automatically cancel your recurring membership to prevent additional payments. To Hide Your Listings:
- Login to your account.
- Click on the Menu Icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper-right.
- Click Account Settings below.
- Scroll down to the Privacy and Deletion section, and click Hide All Listings.
- Select the reason you're hiding your listing(s).
- Click Hide Listing(s).
You're free to Edit or Deactivate your listing(s) from your Dashboard while they're Hidden.
To Unhide Your Listings:
- Login to your account.
- Access your Dashboard.
- Click Make your listings visible again in the Room/Roommate Listings section.
- Alternately, click Show All Listings on your Account Settings page
Please note: Hiding your listings removes them from public view. Other users won’t see your hidden listings in search results or on your profile, even if you’ve previously exchanged messages.
While your listings are hidden, you’ll still receive Matches for each active listing, but matching users won’t be able to view those listings. Because your listings aren’t publicly visible, hiding them may reduce responses from other users. We recommend using this option mindfully so it doesn’t slow down your roommate search.
