Change or Cancel an Upgraded Membership
We recognize that sometimes needs change, so we make it easy to cancel recurring monthly memberships and/or to change to a different membership option.
To Cancel a Recurring Membership:
- Login to your Roommates.com account.
- Click on the Menu Icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper-right.
- Click "VIP Membership" below.
- Click "Cancel Membership."
- Click "Yes, Cancel Subscription".
After successfully canceling your recurring membership, no further payments will be charged. However, you’ll retain all VIP benefits until the end of your current paid period, after which your account will return to the basic, non-upgraded level.
After you've canceled your recurring membership, you'll be free to purchase a different membership option immediately. The unused portion of your first membership will be refunded automatically, and your second membership will begin immediately after your purchase.
To Switch to a Different Membership Option:
- Login to your Roommates.com account and complete the process outlined above for cancelling a recurring membership.
- Next, on your VIP Membership page, click "Select Plan" beneath the new membership you wish to purchase.
- Next, enter your card information and click "Submit Payment".
- Once you successfully purchase your new membership, the unused portion of your older membership will be refunded automatically, and your new membership will begin immediately after purchase. Please note that it may take up to 5 business days for a prorated refund to appear on your card statement.
