Switch Account Type
Your Roommates.com account can be categorized as one of two types: a "Need a Room" account (i.e. an account which can be used to search for available rooms to rent in specific areas) or a "Have a Room" account (i.e. an account offering an available room for rent in your current home).
We understand that you may need to switch your account type if your needs change, so we make it easy to do so at any time if necessary.
To switch your account type:
- Login to your account.
- Click on your avatar or profile picture on the top right-hand corner of the page.
- Choose "Account" from the drop-down.
- Scroll down to the "Switch Account Type" section; this section should display your current account type.
- Click the "Switch Account Type" button to change your account type.
- Confirm your decision to switch your account type via the pop-up.
- You will then be directed to begin filling out the required information to update your account type so we can begin finding your perfect match.
