Request Verification

Every user profile on Roommates.com will display a badge for each level of verification the user has completed. Available verification types include Email Verification and Phone Verification (which are mandatory for every user), as well as ID Verification (which is optional). Sometimes other users won't have all verification levels completed. If this is the case, there will be a button next to their verification badges which reads, "Request More Verifications". If you would prefer that the user complete more verifications before you get in contact with them, you can request that they do so by clicking the "Request More Verifications" button. This will send them an automatic prompt to let them know that you've requested that they complete more verifications through the site.

Account verifications can be a valuable tool in helping to confirm the identity of another user on our website. While they can help to enhance your confidence in the authenticity of a user, it's important to keep in mind that they may not guarantee complete legitimacy. Verification is a step towards trust, but it's always wise to exercise due diligence when interacting with others online.
