Search Beyond Your Matches
Curious to find other users who didn't quite make the "Perfect Match" cut? Simply use the Search option to discover potential roommates in your selected area! This can be a great way to increase your options, which can in turn increase your chances of finding the perfect roommate.
To locate our Search page, simply login to your account and click the "Search" tab at the top (if using a laptop/desktop), or tap the three horizonal lines in the upper-left and then tap "Search" on the next page (if using a mobile device).
While performing a Search, you'll be able to set a few basic search parameters:
- Your Search Location
- Your Range (i.e. the distance in miles surrounding your Search Location that you want to focus on)
- "Members Who" (which enables you to search for users who Need a Room, Have a Room, or All Members)
- The Max Rent the user(s) is looking to pay per month
If you need to specify additional search parameters, no worries! You can use the Refine option to fine-tune your search results. Simply click the "Refine" button on the search page in order to do so.
You can Refine search results using the following criteria:
- Move-In Date
- Gender
- Orientation
- Age Range
- Pet Ownership
- Pets Allowed
- Child Preferences
- Smoking Preferences
- Occupations
- Room Furnishings
While performing Searches, please keep the following in mind:
- The "Search Location" you select refers to the location of the user's home/available room (if you're searching for users who Have a Room) or at least one of the locations the user has selected as an area they're interested in living in (if you're searching for users who Need a Room).
- Search results are determined by the criteria entered on the Search page only; they are not determined by the Roommate Preferences you set up when you created your account.
- Need to edit your search parameters while using a mobile device? Simply tap on the Magnifying Glass icon on the Search page to do so.
- Please know that you can "Favorite" any of your search results in order to save the profile for later! Check out our Favoriting Matches page for instructions!
