Hiding and Restoring Matches
Your Matches are automatically generated based on your profile, listing details, and roommate preferences. If you see a Match that doesn’t quite fit what you’re looking for, you can now Hide the user to remove them from your Matches without having to block them.
To Hide a Match:
- Navigate to your Matches.
- Locate the user’s listing.
- Click the "X" icon at the top of the listing card to remove it from your Matches.
The Match will be instantly hidden from your active Matches list, but hiding a Match isn't permanent. If you change your mind or want to review who you’ve hidden, you can view/restore your hidden Matches.
How to View or Restore Hidden Matches
- At the top of your Matches, click the Hidden tab. (Note: This tab only appears if you have at least one hidden Match).
- To move a user back to your active Matches, click the "Curved Arrow" icon at the top of their listing card.
What is the difference between Hiding and Blocking?
- Hiding simply cleans up your Matches. The user is moved to a different folder, but you can still view them or restore them later. This can make it easier to focus on new potential roommates (or existing potential roommates) easier, without having your Matches cluttered with users you don't feel would be a good fit.
- Blocking is a more permanent action used for safety or to prevent a user from contacting you entirely.
