How do I edit my Location Preferences?
Up to three city/state location preferences can be set in each "I Need a Room" account. A corresponding range between 5-50 miles can be configured around each city/state location preference, enabling you to customize your area of interest around each location.
Location preferences can be set while initially creating your Roommates.com profile, or they can be adjusted anytime after your profile is initially created. We'll review each procedure below:
To set your Location Preferences (While Creating Your Roommates.com Profile):
- The first page of the Profile Creation prompt contains a section titled "Where would you like to live?". In the text box, simply enter the city or zip code for the location you wish to add, and click the appropriate result in the drop-down menu below.
- Next, click the "Distance" drop-down menu, and select the appropriate range you wish to limit your location preference to.
- To add an additional location preference, simply type another location in the "City or Zip Code" text field, click the appropriate result below, and set another distance around that location.
- To delete any location preferences, simply click the "X" icon in the upper-right corner of the location preference.
- Once you're finished, click/tap "Save and Continue" at the bottom, and proceed to the next page of information required to set up your Roommates.com profile.
